I was visiting Abaco in February and we decided to visit the Neem store on our way to drop my husband at the airport. I purchased the Neem Extract, the aftershave, and the lip balm. That day my throat was scratchy and my glands were swollen. I took three drops of the Neem extract and swished it in my mouth as directed. My name is Eva Lissia and I am a registered dental hygienist. I wanted to relay my observation with respect to a client of mine. Pamela has been mine client since 2002. She has always had good oral health and oral self care habits. However, like most people plaque control can be challenging at best. For the past 7 years Pamela, has been having her teeth cleaned every 3months and has always presented with light marginal plaque (around the gum line), light plaque interdentally (in between) and light stain on her teeth. Anyone who has known me for 25 years or more can attest to the fact that I always had the “sniffles” regardless of the time of year. I often felt like the woman mentioned in scriptures, even though my infirmity was of a different kind, I identified with how she must have felt, the longing, desperation and need for healing was the same. The constant “sniffles” was accompanied by asthma attacks that became more frequent over time. This condition was treated with a prescribed inhaler or (bronchodilator), which worked for a while (the first 15 years.) However I found myself having to use the inhaler more times within a 24 hour period. During those years my energy level became quite depleted. Seeing my obvious distress, a family member advised me to see a specialist, who gave me instructions on “managing” the illness along with 2 additional medications to be taken for the rest of my life! The medication reduced the frequency of attacks, (they were no longer occurring 4 times a day), however they still occurred. One day my Mom was visiting and she asked me if I had heard of “Neem” She said she had some of the leaves and was going to make tea and I was free to partake if I so desired. (My Mom has proven countless times the many medicinal benefits of natural cures). Not knowing any better and not feeling like experimenting I said to her “let me know how it makes you feel, then I may try it.” Well, she took it and she has her very own testimony of the benefits she experienced. One day I noticed my Mom taking the Abaco Neem Leaf Extract as medicine. Upon looking up the benefits of Neem on the internet, I found out that there were many benefits, as it included a vast number of ailments where persons derived benefits after taking Neem. What stood out for me was that Neem was also described as antiviral and an anti inflammatory, among many other things. I knew then that The Lord had heard my prayers. One day I was out of my traditional medicine and felt as if an asthma attack was going to occur. I decided to not get too excited right away, but secretly experimented with taking Abaco Neem leaf extract, when there was an impending attack. and thankfully the attacks were prevented. I started carrying Abaco Neem around with me as I would the regular asthma inhaler and portable air chamber. My health improved tremendously, my energy level increased significantly. I was convinced that Abaco Neem was “God sent”, It “agreed” with my body. During this time I gradually weaned myself off the prescribed medication. My concern was that the sniffles would return. I am happy to proclaim that they have not! I have progressed to not having any asthma attacks! My last attack was 19 months ago! "Yesterday I got stuck by a long thorn under a fingernail. Only poked, nothing remaining under my nail. However, it was extremely painful all night despite my getting up a couple of times to put more antibiotic ointment on it. This morning it was still painful and so swollen that I couldn't move my finger. So about 30 minutes ago I put some neem salve on it, this from a jar that I bought so long ago that it was $16.50 and had a picture of the Hope Town lighthouse on it. "On recommendation of friends we stopped the taxi on way to ferry to Guana Cay on vacation in late April to purchase some soap and salve. After a week of using your products on Guana, I noticed a change in the small pressure sores on my toe and foot that had not closed in seven months: they were slightly smaller and "healthier" looking. I am not a diabetic but I have Charcot's syndrome in my left foot from spinal compression and the accompanying peripheral neuropathy makes me very vulnerable to any abrasion. I develop a wound that can take months to heal and sometimes gets infected. That puts me on a course or two of very strong antibiotics such as Cephalosporin or Keflex --disrupting my whole system. I might as well be a diabetic. Well, on the way home last week I left plenty of time between ferry and airport to visit your store with my friend. A delightful lady helped us shop for more bars of soap (I love shaving with Bay or Peppermint) but more importantly - Neem Lotion and Neem Oil. She asked me a favor: to report back any good results. To my extreme surprise I am going to tell you that in just one additional week of using some form of Neem (from April 25 - May 7 2008) the pressure sore has closed up a great deal more. I went to the surgeon yesterday to have the wound checked as I do every 3 weeks and debrided and dressed. I told him I had walked on sand and even got tumbled about in the ocean and pressed my toe hard on Guana rock trying to stand up after being knocked down --and may have made the wound a bit worse. (Being on the underside of my big toe, I cannot always see the full sore extent.) I told him nothing about Neem --I don't want to prejudice or influence his judgment or even be dismissed as gullible etc..) To my surprise he said "No, actually this toe is better than I expected to find since you were walking on sand and rock without a bandage. In fact, it's a far better than it has looked in months; the hole is not very deep at all and the tissue growth is sound. Keep up the good work." I just had to smile and thank God...and of course the lady at the Neem counter asking to be kept informed popped into mind. Now...I am not saying the wound is closed. It is not. But in a few weeks of use of Neem, I not only did not LOSE ground, I actually gained healthy tissue and the wound circumference and depth shrank. This is astonishing to me. I have been struggling with this for three years now. I am 58 and in good health otherwise, but a neuropathic limb from nerve compression introduces all the same complications that diabetics endure. And, truth be told, my pain and inactivity from the foot damage is beginning to lead me toward all the conditions that are ripe for Diabetes Type II: overweight, less active, etc. I am fighting to regain my good health and I think Neem has a role to play. Thank you! I am very hopeful. On two visits to you several weeks apart, I spent maybe $300. I have spent tens of thousands here on drugs and surgery and electrical stimulation to no avail. The fact that this doctor noticed spontaneously just absolutely tickles me. On my next visit, I will give him a bottle of Neem. I feel as if Neem may be a significant aid in my recovery.
