She was diagnosed 2 years ago by CSU vet school as being allergic to every tree and grass where I live.We have struggled to treat her naturally. She normally would loose 10+ pounds and drop over half her coat and itch and scratch all summer until the snow fell in the Colorado Mountains (where I live) - It has been torture. Cindy Albury - Abaco, Bahamas: My dog has sensitivities to bug bites and developed several "hot spots", even gnawing them down to bloody tissue in an effort to relieve himself of the constant itch. I live here locally, but had been to the vet and the pet supermarkets in Florida trying to find a shampoo, "itch relief stick",creme, oil, etc.....anything to try to get him to stop gnawing and creating large sores. and decided to try the "human" neem shampoo on my dog. (They did not even make the Pet version back then) I explained that I was going to try it on my dog and see what happened. Because it made sense that the essential neem extract oil would benefit his skin, they even volunteered to add extra drops of oil to the human shampoo. So every time I came in to purchase a new bottle, they would open up the top and add more oil to it. I mention this to show how much extra effort they took to understand and try to reason out the problem we were trying to address and even though the essential oil is the most expensive of the products (because of all the neem fruit it takes to make even a small amount), they volunteered this at no additional expense. Of course, Abaco Neem now makes a shampoo just for Pets, in which is contained this extra essential oil. It worked beautifully!!!...after just the first shampoo I saw noticeably less itching and gnawing. By the second or third time, the "hot spots" were cleared up 100%. Needless to say, I NEVER bathe him in anything else and he has never had a problem again. I know that alot of dog owners have encountered this problem and I have tried to spread word of this amazing product far and wide because I am so excited about the results! I have told other dog lovers, the vet, people I meet in Florida, etc......and NO I do not have stock in this company....!!!!! I am just excited because I know others love their dogs too and don't want them to suffer this misery either. I also have had very little problem with ticks or fleas since because Neem is a natural tick and flea repellent. For anyone who has problems with fleas in their yard or inside, they also make a new Neem concentrate that is used in conjunction with a sprayer for just that purpose and it is 100% natural and safe. A friend of ours is a physician and we told him about the Neem products as well, especially about the soaps and cremes for people with skin conditions. The Neem creme is especially good for hemorroids. He tried the products himself and was sold! He now carries a display of the Neem products in his office for sale to his patients. I want to thank Abaco Neem for bringing this wonderful product to our area and keeping the product line so pure...they grow and harvest the leaves and fruit themselves and process it right here....NO middlemen or outsourcing the production. my energy level became quite depleted. When asked how I felt, my usual reply was "I feel as if my get up and go, got up and left!" Well, on the way home last week I left plenty of time between ferry and airport to visit your store with my friend. A delightful lady helped us shop for more bars of soap (I love shaving with Bay or Peppermint) but more importantly - Neem Lotion and Neem Oil. She asked me a favor: to report back any good results. To my extreme surprise I am going to tell you that in just one additional week of using some form of Neem (from April 25 - May 7 2008) the pressure sore has closed up a great deal more. I went to the surgeon yesterday to have the wound checked as I do every 3 weeks and debrided and dressed. I told him I had walked on sand and even got tumbled about in the ocean and pressed my toe hard on Guana rock trying to stand up after being knocked down --and may have made the wound a bit worse. (Being on the underside of my big toe, I cannot always see the full sore extent.)
